Classroom Rules and Expectations

Late Policy

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • 2020

    • ALWAYS wear a mask in class​

    • wash and sanitize your hands

    • safe social distance

    • once you have entered a classroom you must be seated in your assigned seat.  This is critical for contact tracing.

 

  • PHONES 

    • Phones are allowed before the bell rings to start class. 

    • Check the board for the device card.

    • You may not have them out during movies or other activities unless I have given you the directive to take them out. 

    • If they are out without my permission or during class time, you will have to “power down” for the hour. 

    • No headphones or ear buds may be worn in class without permission.  If permission is given, one ear bud only.  Or I’ll take those too. 

  • ID's 

    • ID’s must be on when you enter the room – consequences for not wearing your ID follow the tardy policy. 

    • If I have to tell you to put it on, it counts as a strike. 

    • If I cannot see it, it counts as a tardy.

  • TIME MANAGEMENT 

    • Arrive on time and ready to start when the bell rings– refer to planner for consequences

    • If you are late, bring a pass

  • LEAVING THE ROOM

    • Bottom line, if you are at school in my class, I need to know where you are at all times. 

    • Try to go to the restroom, counselor, coach, etc. before class, but I also understand life happens.  

    • I will be keeping track of each time you need to leave in a notebook by my desk.  I will revoke your right to leave, if you are abusing my policy.

    • If you have to leave only one person can leave at a time and no one else can go until he/she gets back. 

    • You must sign-out AND back in, have an ID ON, and your planner to get a pass from me. 

    • I like to limit passes to approximately one per week per person if needed.

    • I support the Tiger Den and allow you to go.  It must be at the beginning or after I have opened class.  You must be quick down and back or you will lose your privilege.  

  • NO passes to the trainer.

  • END OF CLASS

    • Remain in your seat until the bell rings

    • Do not line up at the door

Late Work Policy

1 day late – 10% penalty

2 days late – 20 % penalty

3 – 5 days late – 50% penalty (nothing is accepted after 5 days)

 

**late policy does not apply for homework checks.  These count like a pop quiz.**
