Teachers will assess all of the following steps:

1. At least five sources must be utilized; within those five, at least three different types of sources
must be represented. A variety of sources include print, electronic, or digital sources.
2. Evidence of a note-taking process, which may include fact cards, annotation, and/or Cornell notes framework.
3. A working outline is required.
4. A rough draft paper with citations and a works cited page is required.
5. A formal outline mapping the final draft’s organization of main topics is required.
6. A final paper containing a works cited is required.
7. An additional formal presentation may be required at the teacher’s discretion.

Grade 12 Electives
British Literature, Contemporary Literature, Analysis and Research in Sports and Literature, and Senior English require a literary analysis research paper; topic must be related to course, with a suggested length of 5-8 pages.
